Ingredient Benefits
Rose Petal: Contains Vitamin C to help maintain or restore natural skin radiance. Soothes irritated skin. Promotes collagen production. High in antioxidants. Seals moisture into cells, which helps to hydrate them. Helps to prevent dark circles.

Chamomile: Reduces redness and irritation, and can help to treat an active acne breakout by reducing bacteria and cleansing the skin. Its antibacterial properties make it a particularly important natural ingredient in acne-fighting skincare products. Those with acne always want to be careful when choosing skin care products and a calming toner is always a good choice.

Help in treating eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea: The flavonoids in chamomile can get deep into the skin to work as a topical anti-inflammatory. Indeed, it’s so powerful that studies have shown it to be about 60% as effective as 0.25% hydrocortisone cream.

Soothing sunburn and scalds: Chamomile is soothing. It will effectively calm the soreness caused by sunburn and mild scalds.

Treating wounds: The mild antiseptic qualities of chamomile, combined with its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, make it ideal for treating facial wounds. If you’ve got open scratches or sores from outbreaks, then a chamomile toner will help to ensure the infection doesn’t take root.

Treating other skin irritations: Chamomile has long been used for treating a wide range of skin concerns such as nappy rash and chicken pox irritation.

Dark Circles:
chamomile in your skincare routine will help to lighten this under-eye area while also reducing the inflammation (puffiness).

Fights against free-radicals: The polyphenols in chamomile help to tackle free radicals, helping to arm our skin against environmental damage, such as from pollution. It’s free radicals that speed up the aging process. Using chamomile on the skin brings along powerful antioxidants that help the skin to regenerate, tighten pores and slow down aging effects in the skin.

Skin lightening: Blemishes and redness can be lightened by chamomile which is sometimes referred to as ‘natural skin bleach’. This is because chamomile acts as a vasodilator, improving blood flow and helping the skin to appear brighter and more refreshed. So you can enjoy a healthy glow rather than a blotchy indication that your skin is under stress.

So yeah, chamomile is pretty good stuff for your skin!

Calendula: Calendula has antiseptic properties, which are helpful for treating wounds and preventing acne. As a skin conditioner, Calendula Extract stimulates collagen production and also reduces the occurrence of dry skin. Calendula is a naturally occurring antioxidant.

Peppermint Leaf: Peppermint leaves are a natural analgesic and antiseptic best known for its ability to help relieve skin irritations. When applied topically, Peppermint Extract leaves a cooling sensation – a benefit attributed to the numbing properties of its primary component, menthol – that can help heal and soothe minor irritations.

In addition, Peppermint Extract gives skin an instant boost upon contact. It boasts a host of nutrients like Vitamins A and C, two powerful antioxidants that fight free radicals and inflammation, as well as B vitamins and folate, which help brighten the complexion. As redness and minor irritations are reduced, the skin is left toned and refreshed.

Lavender oil: Lavender essential oil can benefit the skin in numerous ways. It has the ability to lessen acne, help lighten skin, and reduce wrinkles. Also, it smells pretty good too!

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil is a popular choice for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It's thought to calm redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to prevent and reduce acne scars, leaving you with smooth, clear skin.

Pairs well with our Rose & Mint Acne Facial Bar!
