How to use: Wash your hair with shampoo (browse our collection of Shampoo & Body Bars!) and fully rinse. Then, take the Conditioner Bar and run it under warm water while rubbing it between your hands to create a moisturizing lather. You can then use your fingers to comb the lather through the ends of your hair, or apply the bar directly to your hair and evenly distribute the lather. Ingredient Benefits

Shea Butter: Shea butter is often used in hair and skin products for it's moisturizing properties. Shea butter contains fatty acids and vitamins A and E, which all help to repair split ends, add shine, and keep your hair strong and hydrated. The hair-softening effects of shea butter are unique because it locks in moisture without adding weight or excessive oils to your hair, and prevents frizziness.

Coconut Oil: The moisturizing and anti-frizz effects of coconut oil are very similar to shea butter, however coconut oil has some additional benefits for hair as well. Coconut oil has a high content of lauric acid, which is antibacterial and helps to heal and protect your hair and scalp, preventing dandruff and hair breakage.

Plant-based Emulsifiers (vs. Synthetic Emulsifiers): Emulsifiers are ingredients found in products that contain both water and oil, and helps bind ingredients together to keep the product from separating. They are often found in conditioners, moisturizers, and shampoos. However, most top-brand hair products use synthetic petrochemical emulsifiers known as PEGs (Polyethylene Glycol) or PPGs (Polypropylene Glycol). PEGs contain ethylene oxide, an extremely toxic carcinogen, and PPGs have been known to cause dryness and can irritate the skin. Our Conditioner Bar doesn't contain PEGs, PPGs, or any synthetic emulsifiers. We only use glyceryl stearate and polyglyceryl-4 oleate, which are both natural emulsifiers derived from plants. Glyceryl stearate is a substance commonly derived from olives or coconuts, and is an emollient that naturally binds moisture to hair and skin. Polyglyceryl-4 oleate is an organic compound made up of plant glycerin and oleic acid, a fatty acid that is found in vegetable oils and oils naturally produced by human skin. Polyglyceryl-4 oleate is a gentle, toxin-free emulsifier that has no known health concerns.

Hydrogenated Olive Oil: Hydrogenation is a chemical process in which hydrogen is added to liquid fats or oils to turn them into a solid. Hydrogenated olive oil is a surfactant that naturally cleanses hair and skin, and is used in our Conditioner Bar because it creates a moisturizing lather when exposed to water. Olive oil deeply moisturizes and softens hair, and contains antioxidants that help to stimulate hair growth.
